Bogura Portal: All Information About Bogura District in One Place

Why I Built It

Finding a doctor in Bogura, getting a hospital's contact number, checking bus information, or discovering places to visit often requires searching through multiple sources. Information is scattered across Facebook pages, outdated websites, and word of mouth.

I wanted to create a single Bengali-language website where the people of Bogura could easily find all the essential information they need. That idea led to

What's Available on the Website

Tourist Attractions and History: Explore Mahasthangarh, Behula's Basor Ghar, Gokul Medh, Mominin, Pundravardhana, Satmatha, and other notable places, with detailed descriptions and photos.
Profiles of All 13 Upazilas: Discover the history, famous places, and local foods of each upazila.
Doctors: A directory of more than 100 doctors, organized by specialty, including pediatrics, cardiology, gynecology, ophthalmology, dentistry, urology, and more. Each listing provides chamber addresses and visiting hours, along with a button to search for updated information on Google.
Hospitals, Educational Institutions, Hotels, Restaurants, Banks, Offices, and Transportation: Find useful information and important contact numbers.
Blood Donor Directory: Search for blood donors by blood group and upazila.
Skilled Workers and Services, Professionals, Buy and Sell, and Rentals: Find masons, electricians, lawyers, teachers, houses for rent, vehicle rental services, and more. Anyone can submit their information for free, and an administrator reviews submissions before publishing them.
Jobs, Notices, Events, Maps, and Photo Gallery: Access additional resources and stay informed about local opportunities and activities.

Transparency About Information

Historical and location-related information is researched using sources such as Wikipedia and news reports, then rewritten in my own words.
Doctor listings are collected from publicly available directories. Since visiting hours and chamber locations may change, each doctor's page includes a button to help users verify the latest information through Google.
If you find incorrect or outdated information, you can report it through the website's Contact page so that corrections can be made.
Some images may be illustrative rather than actual photographs of the locations or subjects. This is indicated on the relevant pages.
